Party at the Point: Dear Residents, We regret to announce that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the guidelines issued by the State of Utah, the difficult decision has been made to cancel this year’s Party at the Point Celebration.  It is with great sadness to bring you this news, but we believe that it is what is best for our community. As the State and Davis County have transitioned from the “Orange” to “Yellow” phases, a mass gathering of this size does not appear to be likely. Although we will eventually move to the “Green” phase, we feel that canceling the event is the right  decision to ensure the safety of all of our residents. The Party at the Point has always been a day that we come together as a community to celebrate Independence Day and is a long-cherished tradition for many of our residents. Even though things are different this year, West Point City wants to encourage you to still to celebrate Independence Day and the pride we have for our nation, while staying within the guidelines put in place by the State and County. While canceling this event is hard and sad, we want to share with you a few things we are still planning to do! For many years we have referred to our celebration as “Party at the Point” and we love this party. Since we can’t celebrate as a community, this year we have changed that saying to be “Party at Some Point”! It probably won't be until next year, but WE WILL have the City celebration we know and love again. We will be offering pre-ordered “Party at the Some Point” t-shirts for $10.  Shirts must be ordered online by June 15th and will be mailed directly to your home before July 4th! CLICK HERE TO ORDER! Additionally, we are currently planning to hold the following events, and may be able to add more in the coming weeks: Art Contest Baby Contest (video submission, judged by the Miss West Point Royalty) Chalk Festival Most Patriotic Street (or group of homes) Contest We thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate through this difficult situation. We look forward to celebrating Independence Day all together at the 2021 Party at the Point which will be held on Saturday, July 3rd!

Earthquake Activity

First and foremost, keep calm and don’t panic!

Initial inspections of the City indicate no damage to City infrastructure.  However, if you notice any water leaks or other –issues, PLEASE call City Hall at 801-776-0970. While City Hall is closed to walk-in traffic, Staff is still at work and our Public Works crews are out in the field.

This is also a good time to talk with your family about preparing for an emergency.  Here are some good tips!
